Q: What is Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health?

A: This includes depression & anxiety during pregnancy, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety. I also want to note that both the birthing person and their partner may experience concerns in this transition of life. This focus area is for ALL.

Q: What is EDMR?

A: EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. During trauma, our brain processes, and stores memories incorrectly and that can lead to earlier memories feeling very present. Related or unrelated actions in the present can lead to people reacting as they did at the time of trauma. The brain feels as if the past painful event is taking place currently.

EMDR therapy adjusts this mis-storage so that the painful memories associated with the trauma lose their intense power. The person can then respond to things in the present without past experiences impeding.

A: Yes! I am in network with the following providers: aetna, Cigna, Oscar Health, United Healthcare, Oxford, and BCBST.

If your insurance provider is not listed above, this would mean that I am an out-of-network provider for your insurance. Your plan may reimburse you a portion of your financial investment if you have out-of-network coverage. Please note that submitting an insurance claim means I will need to give you a mental health diagnosis.
